  • So think about what you just did as you've been climbing to the top of a Hill. Uh, you know, like that when the rocket goes to the moon, again, uh, most of the fuel is used at takeoff. That's what we're doing. We're, we're, um, preparing for takeoff and it takes a lot of time. It's kind of grindy and it might not be super fun because it's very tasky and detail oriented.
  • And, you know, again, I can't stress enough. I should have invested in the post it note company because I can't stress enough how much I love these little babies because it allows me to just move things around, add, delete. Uh, and one of my favorite things to do when something's done is I like to put a big X across the front of it and throw it out, say, mission accomplished.
  • Now this is the part that most people don't do. So I'd like it to take a minute and just. Pat yourself on the back, congratulate yourself. It is when it's again, so easy to have an idea. We're full of ideas, but so many people don't take action because it gets hard. It takes focus, and I can tell you I, I get distracted so easily, but when I train myself to focus on designing the action plan.
  • I am so grateful I did it because even though I know things are going to change along the way, I have laid the foundation and I can tell you, I feel such a sense of pride that I had this idea in my head and I could render it practical. Don't. Kid yourself. I don't do any of this alone. I have a great team behind me.
  • So think about the people that you can gather in your as part of your team, because you know you are the sum total of the top five people you spend your most time with. So get the best people around you. Ask someone who's done it before. Get guidance from them. Reach out, ask questions, but don't miss.
  • Don't skip the hard part. Because it's the hard part that as you climb up that Hill that's going to make the rest seem easy. And, um, I'm telling you again, this is where most people quit. And that's why I noticed in my coaching, if, um, if I don't, uh, force people in a way, like to do that tedious stuff, they quit and then they say, this doesn't work and you're not going to make that happen because you know what?
  • Your dream is so big. Your domino goal is aligned to your core motivation. Your values are going to guide you when you get off track and you're going to figure out that if you do the work, the work will work you. Because here's the thing, you are inevitable. You are inevitable. This is going to happen because you've done the hard work.
  • But here's the thing. There's still more. You've got your 90 day strategy, you've got it broken down into week by week. So what do you do now? Well, what you do now is, is called your top five things. I call it my daily five massive moves. And what I do every night is I think about what are the top five things I need to do the next day?
  • And I write them down. And, uh, when I get up the next day. I hit the ground running. I already know what I'm going to do because I planned it the night before. So I look at what's ahead in that week. And I think what is the very next thing I need to get done? And I write it down. And here's the thing. This is not going to surprise you though.
  • I created my own custom post it notes of my five massive moves and I fill this out every night. And then I hit the ground running every day. And I have done this. Consistently every weekday since 2008 and this is how I get stuff done every night. Again, the end of my day, I write down the top five things I'm going to do the next day.
  • I wake up the next day and I start at number one and number one might take me the whole day. But I don't go to number two until number one's done. Why is because then I have a sense of accomplishment. I also learn how to be disciplined and I also learn what I can really get done in a day. Sometimes I get through the whole top five list.
  • If I just get to number three, number four becomes number one the next day. It really helps with my time management and rolling out that strategy. And before you know it. You will have accomplished, um, five things a day towards your domino goal. The one thing I don't want you to forget though, that a super important part of this is to remember to check in every four weeks.
  • On the fourth week, I'd like you to do that life balance wheel again to check in on your eight life areas to see has something fallen off the rails as something picked up, what's going on in your life, and just take the time. Uh, every once a month to just check in. Because what I don't want is for you to work so hard at working on your domino goal to achieve at Intel 12 months only to find that you've lost part of yourself along the way.
  • Remember, we all get distracted. We all fall off our game. Things happen in our life. The economy shifts. We jobs change. We move, um, relationships and relationships begin. Kids move out, kids come back home. All kinds of things happen that we have to be willing to, um, sort of Zig and zag in life. But if you've, if you've got a goal that is tied to your core motivation and it's aligned to your values, you can regroup.
  • Much quicker.
