In this video, we are going to show you how to use your landing pages that you're building and convert kit, but therefore, but then show them inside your WordPress site. So we're going to show you how to do both of that. Now I'm starting you being logged into my convert kit account. And if I go to the landing pages and forms area, you can see that I have a few.
Landing pages set up for, for testing. This is our test account, but I just want to draw your attention to this warm opt-in page, because this is the one that we are going to apply to our WordPress site, because right now it is currently a link, right? So I have my custom convert kit page. If I open this in a new tab.
The link, the here is the landing page. Okay. No surprises there. And what we're going to do is we're going to be able to, rather than using the convert kit provided domain, we're going to have it show up as part of our WordPress site. This is obviously allowing you to use your custom domain that you already have connected to your WordPress site.
So this is a powerful feature and it's the good, good news is that. Very straightforward. So this is, as I said, assuming you already have a landing page created or else it won't show up for your WordPress site. So just to be clear, you do need some sort of landing page here built if you don't talk.
Okay. So now over to WordPress, this is my admin area I'm logged into. And what we're going to do is I'm going to create a new page for this warm opt-in. Okay. So again, everything can look different depending on each person's WordPress, but fundamentally, all we want to do is we want to create a new page.
And I know for a fact that this needs something content in order to publish. So I'm just putting this title here, but no one sees that that's just a, that could just be my version of WordPress, but we could put something more optional
Newsletter. Okay. From there. Again, this will look different depending on your WordPress setup, but what should be added since you followed the first step of adding convert kit to your WordPress site as a plugin. Now this section will show up. Now you can see forms, landing pages and text. What we're focusing on in this video is landing pages.
So as it sees, says here, select a landing page to make it appear in place of this page, which is obviously exactly what we want. And if I click this from the dropdown, you can see all of these options I have. Now, these obviously mapped directly to these that are already existing in my convert kit account.
And as I said, we're going to work with this warm email. So that is done. Now I will draw your attention over to this permalink area. This is the, the domain that it's going to be on. So you can see it's slash newsletter. It's taking that from the title of the page. So you can change this to whatever you want.
Again, it might be different where you change the permalink, the URL slug for your WordPress. Installation, but ultimately this is what we're saying and we're obviously on massively human sites, so that's why it's massive even slash newsletter. Okay. So that's just the example I'm going with from there.
As I said on my convert kit, I've selected the landing page, warm upped in, I click publish of this new page. It's asking me to confirm, okay, so now I have, I'm going to copy this link. And once again, this is. ConvertKit provided link, but if I open a new tab paste this, and we'll notice this is Passover human slash newsletter, which is what the URL is.
And if I do this, it should look exactly the same. And it does as this. So you can see this is the exact same landing page. It's functioning all the same. Nothing is different except it's living in my WordPress site. So that's how easy it is to leverage the WordPress plugin to, in order to add a landing page to your existing WordPress site, I think is really simple and really straightforward, which is really fantastic.
Of course, as you edit this page, You don't have to do anything. It'll automatically update. So just to illustrate that if I jumped into here and I add a test and we'll click save, now it can take a minute to populate. But if I went to the convert kit page and refreshed, I might take a minute. And as you can see, as I refreshed you can see that the test is now here.
And if I went to my WordPress version and I refresh. We can see that it's updated now as ConvertKit warns, as I click save. You'll see it. It does take a few minutes to take live. I did cut this video. It did take about two minutes. Just so you know, so clicking save, and then coming over and refreshing doesn't instantly work, but within a minute or two it will be updated.
So you don't ever need to go back into that page that you created in your WordPress to change. The actual ending page, because of course it lives in convert kit. So that's how easy it is to leverage your existing sort of infrastructure existing domain, and simply add your landing pages to your WordPress site.
