In this video, we're going to be talking about how to set it up so that subscribers are automatically tagged after they opt in. We're going to set this up with a visual automation first click automations at the top of the page here, and then click the new automation button. Now there are tons of different things you can automate, and we also have a library of templates you can choose from, but we're just going to set up a simple automation that adds a tag to a subscriber after they opt into a form.
First I'll click the create automation button and select joins a form and select my form from the dropdown. And just a side note that landing pages will show in this same dropdown as well, then click add event. So this is now the entry point of the automation. Subscribers will only be able to enter this automation.
If they opt into this form. Now it's time to add the tag, click the plus sign underneath the form, and this time select action, add or remove tech. I'll leave the toggle set to add. And then from this box, you can either create a brand new tag right now, or select an existing pig from the list. Then click add action.
The last step is to activate the automation. New automations are paused by default. Once you're ready for your automation to be active. The last step is to click this toggle in the top, right of the page to unpause it. And now this automation is ready to go. When subscribers opt into this form, they will now automatically receive this tag.
You can also have multiple entry points. So if there were more than one set of form subscribers that you wanted to receive this tag, you can add the additional form along the top here by clicking this plus sign to the right of the original entry point and then add another form. The same way that we did the first one.
And now subscribers can enter this automation and therefore receive this tag by opting into either one of these forms. You also don't have to worry about tags being added multiple times. If a subscriber already has this tag and some automation tries to add it again, will automatically detect that they already have that tag.
So you don't need to worry about duplicates and last but not least, don't forget to give your automation a name for your own reference from the top left here.
