Okay, welcome back. Now, what we're doing is we're changing gears a little bit. We have constructed our main quiz elements inside of Typeform. Which is great. And now what we're going to start working on is the type form specific way of sending results, uh, via convert kit, sending those personalized results.
So it's automatically sending the proper sort of email to, uh, the people that complete our happiness quiz and it is using the power of type form and convert kit. Now, with this you 100%. Need a paid convert kit account. The reason for this is you have to use automations and sequences. So, no matter what, basically, uh, even if you're using, um, interact, which is that's a whole other set of videos, but no matter what you do need the convert kit paid account, because we do need to take advantage of the automations, which is, um, uh, re uh, it's required to have a paid account to unlock that feature on convert kit, regardless of how many subscribers you have, whether it's 10 or 10,000.
Now, what I'm going to do is I have two ways of showing you how to automatically send personalized results, email based on the happiness quiz. There's a simple way which happens to use Zapier, which is, uh, another, uh, Web application to help, um, with automations. And what it does is it does add additional costs, which we'll get to in a moment.
Um, and then I also do have a harder way, uh, that doesn't require a Zapier, so not an extra charge, but it adds quite a bit of complexity. But I did feel like I wanted to show you how you could do it without using something like Zapier. Having said all that. I do suggest you do the simple way. It'll save you a ton of headaches and Zapier is a tool that you will find useful beyond just this.
Um, again, it might not be right away, but it is a marketer and an online virtual, um, businesses, probably one of their top. I would venture to say, at least it's in most marketers, top five applications, Zapier. It's very, very powerful. But again, I will, after this show you a harder way of not needing Zapier, but now that I hear myself say that it's not just.
Simpler and harder is a little bit too reduction airy, uh, truthfully. So let me break down a little bit more pros and cons to maybe help you decide which one to start with. Um, or you could obviously watch both just to see if one you liked better, but in general, I think these pros and cons lists should help you decide.
So with a simple way, there's less duplication. Um, this just comes down to again, the harder way. Uh, we just have to do a little bit more manual work. It's totally not the end of the world. It's mostly just copy pasting, but, uh, with the simple way there is less duplication of work. Um, obviously just in case it's not obvious it's duplication of work.
Just this. One-time not like perpetually going forward. Um, it's just like one time you have to duplicate a few things. Um, the other pro is that you can track the exact quiz score. Um, So this can be important. Say if you wanted to remember the main benefit of the quiz, uh, as a lead magnet in general is the audience segmentation portion.
So if you, with your quiz, it was going to be important that you could send individual emails in the future to those that got, you know, a four and then a different email to those that got a negative. Six and or different ranges people between zero and negative eight, get one email, uh, or, uh, people that go from a one to eight in the positive area, get a different email in that sort of way.
Um, the simple way will allow you to track the exact, um, quiz score that they have, uh, the latest one that they have that is. So if they do the quiz multiple times, it just keeps the latest one. You can't track all of them. Um, however, Again, the way that it works, the sort of fundamental underneath the hood stuff of how it works is you can track that exact score.
The con is it's an additional app. Like I said, the simple way requires Zapier. And you might already be using SAP you're. Um, again, as I kind of previously said, If you're working online with all these apps, app years, probably an inevitable, um, app that you will come across and will need. Um, and like to have truthfully it's very powerful, but it is a con it's an additional application with that.
Although it's not that it's overly complex or anything, but it is, as soon as you add another app, it adds complexity and it does add money. And truthfully, if you're just doing this one quiz, Um, and you're not doing a whole bunch of other stuff, so you don't need Zapier as you grow your quiz. Uh, Participants, however many people do it.
That's an additional thing that scales and price adding Zapier. So not only is Typeform getting more expensive as you need more responses, but so is happier. So again, this is how we do it because there's so many. Benefits to it. And we use zap here anyways. So it doesn't matter, but just to be clear for you, that might not matter to you right away.
So simple is not always better now with the harder way. Again, I don't know a better way to describe it because it's more than just simple and hard, but, um, in general, the pros are, it's just type, form and convert kit. So no additional money as you can see, it just costs less over time. Um, Especially if you never end up needing Zapier, obviously.
So it's just that little bit more simpler with only the needing the two apps. So the cons are pretty straightforward and simple, um, with the not exact scores, um, it's not the exact number. So let's just say an example for the doom and gloom negative eight to negative five NetSuite. That same result with the simple way.
You'll know if it's a negative six, if that's the score they got, whereas with the harder way, it's not the exact score, you would only know. Uh, that they got the doom and gloom output, for example. So not as precise, um, but you know, Yeah. I imagine obviously the outcomes are really what matters, not the exact score range of that given outcome.
So to me it might be a con, but it's certainly not a big con. And then the, the real major con is just that it's extra steps to set up and you'll see it's, uh, functionally, you know, one extra step. Um, To be able to just use convert kit. So not the end of the world at all. Just a little bit of extra time on the front end.
Um, but overall not the end of the world, obviously. So, uh, that is the difference between the simple way and the hard way. So this video is going to end here. And then in subsequent videos, you'll see them marked, you know, type, form, simple, uh, or type form a little bit harder, something along those lines. So I just encourage you to probably watch both.
Uh, to see the difference. Um, but that's totally up to you. Um, basically at a high level, obviously, uh, the simple way is simpler. Hello, but it also does add that extra costs, but it doesn't cost more off the bat. It just, as you scale, it would cost a little bit more. And again, Uh, I'm repeating myself, but SAP pure is a very valuable tool in and of itself.
So you'll have, you'll find many uses for it, much like you will type form. Um, so anyways, you will be able to see in subsequent videos, the simple path and the more complex tap path. So I will see you in one the other, or both.
