So to begin with the first step is to create your type, form account and something to note that you do have to upgrade to that first level that I believe it's $35 from, so you can not pay to create all of this and to test it out yourself and to preview it, et cetera. But to actually share it with other people, you will have to actually pay with that out of the way.
You start the process of signing up for type form by going to Kathleen seeley.com/typeform. Again, this is, uh, an affiliate link for us, but we do appreciate the extra support. If you're going to create an account anyways, we appreciate it, but you're also under no obligation. If you would prefer not to use our affiliate link, you can just search type, form and go.
Uh, in your own way, but if you do want to support us, you just start by going to Kathleen seeley.com/type form. From there, we're going to create a click sign up. And what you do is you use your email. I have to use my personal email just because I already have a real account, obviously. So that's not, you just have to accept this, all of the things.
I'm just going to click. No,
but then whatever you select, it's up to you. And then I'm going to click create my account. I have to prove I'm not a robot, I suppose, by clicking stairs. Verify.
Okay. So it sent me an email to activate my account. So on another screen, I did receive an email. I'm just clicking the activate my account button. Um, so this should be pretty easy for you. So once I clicked the activate my account button in my email, this is what, uh, link it brought me to. And I guess they just are trying to make your type form experience even better.
So they just have a little onboarding, um, form, um, work.
I mean, what is my role? What a difficult to marketing, asking their hard questions.
a recommendation. How about that? I recommended myself. Okay. So it looks like to me, they start you off by right away wanting you to, uh, create an assessment. So it, normally, it doesn't look like this. What I want you to do is to click this X up here, and then this is just what your general workspace looks like.
So that is how you create an account. The one thing I'm going to get you to do before we end this video of just, uh, creating your account is to go to the top, right? And to click settings. And what I want you to do is to look at this type form URL. You can see it starts by just giving you a random letters and numbers.
But you can use a standard domain of, uh, something like quiz, which is obviously a much nicer looking than, um, the random numbers. So I am going to change it to quiz and click save. And you can see that this is now the URL that will be used when creating. Um, new, uh, quizzes and assessments. So we haven't gotten here yet for you, but if I were to show you what this URL looks like now, uh, you can see here, it now says quiz type, form.com, and that is much prettier than, um, those random letters and numbers.
So I do suggest you do that. And when you do upgrade to the paid plan, you can then use a custom, uh, custom. URL like. Whatever your name, carson.typeform.com. If it's available, obviously, but there's no need to upgrade before you need to. So I do suggest you go do that and probably change the quiz. But if other one feels more relevant to you, you could do that.
And in the next video, we're going to actually dive into actually creating. That sample happiness quiz. And it's built out in a Google doc. Again, it's linked below, but we're actually going to build this out in type form and do all the fancy things we need. So watch for that in the next video.
