Okay. We are back in our convert kit account because we do have to do a few things in order to prep, uh, before we, um, have interact actually, uh, show, um, or for us to basically have interact, send the proper information over to convert kit in order to make sure we send the proper results email. So. Again, before we have interact do that, we do have to do a few things inside of convert kit.
So again, as a reminder, you do need a paid account for convert kit because we do need access to the automations. Um, and that's a paid feature, regardless of how many subscribers you have. Um, you do have to have the paid account to unlock the automations. So to talk about automations, um, I'm going to. Yeah, I'm going to start off at just a high level.
So I'm going to start actually with sequences and sequences are effectively nurture sequences. Um, hence the name, I suppose. So I'm just going to open a sequence up. And it should look kind of like a normal email. You might not be totally familiar with convert your kit yet, but in general, when you send a broadcast or whatever, this is typically a, in a lot of ways, what the email builder looks like.
We have the subject line, um, and then the body. So we've created a sequence. You'll see, we have five sequences, one for each of our outcomes. You know, all of these names should look somewhat familiar now with a sequence. Ours that I've put together for this. Cause it's obviously just a working example. Um, they're just single emails that get sent right away, but this is where you do create nurture sequence, if you wanted to.
Um, so you would be able to add emails for example, and you could have that send a different an hour later, you know, four days later or whatever, but this is where you could construct your nurture sequence. Uh, over here. Um, it's not something we get into with this, just because, um, this is obviously all kind of just placeholder information, giving you the bones of how to create a quiz and then send that, um, the proper personalized, uh, results, email back.
It's not so much about the actual copy and whatnot. So it is just placeholder for the most part with single emails, but just so you know, The power and important reason why I build it. Like this is you might send a different nurture sequence to each individual quiz result. You don't have to do that. Um, you could just send the one email with the results.
Um, but if you want it to send different nurture sequences based off for the results, um, it's easy to build out, thanks to the way that I sort of constructed these sequences. So you, um, another thing I want to show you while I'm here is there's the content section, which is sort of email obviously, but then there is the settings.
And you'll notice this main setting over here is, um, the ability, uh, that yes, enable the ability to restart the sequence multiple times. This is a setting that's important in this context with this quiz, because if this was set to know and somebody completed the quiz and got the results, say the doom and gloom result.
Um, so they did that the first time and then they do the quiz again. And they get the same result. They wouldn't get an email again because this setting would block it because only subscribers to receive the email. Once it's not what we want in this context. And the cool thing is, is thanks to a really cool feature of convert kit, um, which I'll get to in a second.
All these settings are set up for you. Um, So, although you don't have to necessarily worry about this, but it is important that I think I explained to you, uh, how these settings work and why they're important. Um, but as I, I've sort of been alluding to, uh, there's a really cool way that I can just import all of these sequences into your account without you ever having to like type it all out or copy paste because that's a waste of time.
So this is one of the reasons why I love convert kit. So. Automations just to build off what we're talking about with sequences. They're just more complex, sort of do this. If this happens, these sorts of things, and I could do a whole course on convert kit automations. Um, but that today is not the day for that, but.
One thing that is cool is with interact. You actually don't have to worry about automations. If you're coming from the type form, you know, we used, um, the automations a lot, these two right here. So if you're curious, you could go watch that with a type form. Um, when then you'll actually learn a lot about convert kit.
Um, By following along with that, I actually kind of suggest that just to, if you have the time, I suppose you'll even if you don't plan on using it, you'll learn a lot about convert kit and a lot of features, but I digress the main thing here. Is I actually have an interact sequence importer, so I have to create it as an automation to send it to you.
Um, but what's cool is there's a link in the, uh, templates and resources section down below in the learning portal of this video with this link. So you don't have to remember this link at all, but. What's cool is I can share this with you and it will automatically then import all of these sequences into your account.
So you don't have to do anything. It'll have all the proper settings. So again, convert kit, uh, really comes through. So I do want to show you what it looks like to actually import it. So I will copy this link and then I will actually sign out of this account. Okay. And actually, um, log in on a different screen with the other account, just so you know, you can kind of see exactly what it looks like to import this into your account.
Um, so it's nice and easy. Okay, so this, um, over here is the actual link. Again, that you'll just click under the video here, but for me, I'm just, I had to copy paste it, but, um, once you click it, you'll land on this page and this is kind of cool. This is what it looks like when you share a, uh, Um, automation template.
So you can check it out. If you want to. This is not meant to be an automation. It's just using it to import the sequences. So you can see this automation includes five sequences that will copy to your account. So if you, uh, click this link, copy the automation doesn't take long at all. And then you will land on the automation page now.
Okay. Um, something to note is, like I said, I did have to share it as an automation. But the automation itself, I have a bunch of automations, but it's this one here. It actually doesn't matter at all. You could literally go ahead and just delete it right away, because it's not about the automation. We, I have you do that to auto import all of the nurture sequences here, all of the sequences.
So I have other sequences, so don't get confused by that. But, um, actually, can I, there. So these are the newest ones we just added. So that's automatically there again, without you having to copy paste and check settings or anything like that. Um, the settings are there for you to adjust if you want to. Of course, but the coolest part that I just love is I could just share that link with you with two clicks and, um, it's added to your account, easy peasy.
Okay. So I am back in just the main, uh, section of my demo account. So just subscribers, because there is one thing we have to do after we did, obviously you imported your sequences, which is awesome. There's just one last thing we need to do. And that is to, first of all, you actually do need somebody in your account.
I'm a subscriber. So if you don't have one, just add yourself. Um, you do have to apply a tag to yourself, so just apply any form sequence or whatever. It doesn't matter. Uh, obviously it matters if you're importing, um, not yourself, like a real person, but in this case, obviously you just need one person in your account.
So once you do have that one person in your account, just click on that one person. And what you're going to want to do is we're going to add a new field. And what we're going to type in this field name is happiness quiz score. And, uh, you don't have to provide a value at all, but once you type that in, we'll just click update subscriber.
So, um, this is a custom field that we just added to the whole of our convert kit account. We added it under this one, you know, contact. But if I go back and clicked on a different contact, um, you can see it's added here as well. So that's how that works. You don't have to add it to each one. Um, none of them have to have a, uh, A value at all, but it is something where we're going to have interact, pass that value, uh, over to convert kits.
So then if you say in the future, want to send a certain email to just those with, uh, happiness quiz score. You know, between four and minus two, you know, you could set those conditions and send an email only to those people. So that's why we add this custom field. So then interact from our quiz results can just pass that and input that field.
They're all automatically. So now that that is done, that is really all we had to do inside of our convert kit account to be able to start sending, um, These personalized results, um, when someone completes our quiz. So I'm, we're turning back to the interact dashboard. Um, if you're not doing this in one go just a reminder, we've set up the lead generation.
We've set up the integration and we're just now, um, mapping the results. Of our quiz. These are the results that we identified here. You can see, I just named them here to keep it easy. Um, but in the sort of production, um, when people actually saw it, I would not use the name. Um, I would use something like, you know, success or something,
you know, something like that. But, um, But for this, it's easier to just name it. Um, the sort of result that is obviously, hopefully it's obvious. Um, it's tied to our various follow-up sequences, right? So do min gloom, living the dream neutral. Um, all of these should look familiar. Okay. So back to where we were.
Connecting our actual quiz results to various actions that we just set up inside of our ConvertKit account. So for the first, um, quiz result, you can see, you can kind of click around and then it's asking that this is the trigger. And then what do you want to have happen inside of convert kit? So for doom and gloom, what we want to do.
Is, we want to add, uh, to a sequence. So, um, for doom and gloom, we want to add to the doom and gloom sequence. Um, another thing that we're going to want to do,
actually, we're not going to want to do this. I'll show you how to do this later. So all we want to do is add to sequence and, um, the corresponding, uh, sequence that matches the quiz results. So doom and gloom. And then for sun showers, we want sun shower and we clicked save neutral. Again, add to sequence neutral,
walking on sunshine, walking on sunshine, living the dream. And living the dream save. So that is all what we want to do for this result section. And we're going to click save and continue. Now, this is not relevant for us, but in the future, you could map specific answers that people give and you could do something inside of your ConvertKit account.
So maybe just an arbitrary example, um, Maybe there is one question that's like really important, like, uh, making this up off the top of my head. So forgive me if it's, I'm not well thought out, but maybe on the end of your quiz, you could ask a question like, uh, do you want a personal follow up? Call or something.
And it's a yes or no question. So if they said yes, you might want to map that specific, uh, question the, yes. You might wanna, uh, map that in a certain way, uh, to maybe add a special sequence to that. If you have one set up for that, you know, giving context or maybe yeah. Update something. So you can basically, not only.
Trigger, um, these sort of actions inside of convert kit with the results, but also specific, uh, questions. So my example wasn't the best. I don't know exactly. Um, The use case, but I'm sure there's something, uh, other people are you being creative could think of, but for our case, we actually don't have to do anything at all with the answers.
So we're just going to click, save and continue again. And this last section is just mapping the fields that we ask and interact to the proper fields inside a convert kit. So there's obvious ones like email, email, first name to first name, but also what we're going to do. Because we created that custom field, uh, the happiness quiz score.
We're going to map the quiz value to that. And that is our final step. And with that, you could actually test the integration. Um, so it just allows you to basically, uh, send a quick test over, um, to make sure everything works. So it pulls in your email, uh, from your, uh, interact, um, From your interact account.
So that's where that's coming from. Um, I'm already a subscriber, so I'm actually just going to go and delete this just so you can see what it looks like basically as like a new subscriber. So I'm just deleting, um, myself from the account. Um, and now when I send this, uh, Test again, quiz results is sun showers.
Um, so actually even with this test, we would expect that I would be added to the sun showers sequence because that's my quiz results. So we should see all that happen even with this test. Um, so we'll click the button, we get a success. So it should work. If I come back, I will have to refresh the page, but yes, I was added.
We should see, um, I should be added to the sequence of sunshine. Right. So if I click the sequence and look at that sun showers, we are, so that is good news. And, um, it may take a moment. So I'll just wait on my email, but we should receive this email, um, this sequence, email. So it might take a little bit of time and, um, something, something about a watched pot never boils, um, something, but, um, here's my email.
We will patiently await, um, its arrival.
Um, while we're waiting, we'll just close this and that should set everything up and I'll just send, since we're waiting, this is why I put in the, um, success page to say your email should arrive in 10 minutes because the truth is it can take time. Oh. And I just saw it come in, but it is good to set that context that, you know, it might take a second, but it looks like we got it.
So here we go. Your results are ready. And again, The specific results we should have gotten again, this is just from testing with the interact. Um, but we're expecting the results inside of this email to say SunPower. So fingers crossed. That's what happened and it looks like it did outcome number two, sun showers.
So, uh, perfect. This worked exactly as we wanted to. And that was just a test, um, with interact. So let's, um, let's even dive a little bit deeper into, um, making sure this is all working properly. So we've set up our lead generation integration. So that's great. Um, I personally like to hide the share buttons on the results page, just because I don't want people to get sort of distracted if you will.
Um, so I like to turn it off, but in the future you might want to change that. Um, so you could do that, but that is basically the creation of the quiz. And we have set up even the system in which to send those personalized results emails. So I'm just going to click, publish and publish changes, and I'm going to copy this link.
And then I think it's time that we do a little bit more robust tests. So here is our quiz. Um, let's, uh, let's just start testing. So I'm just gonna, or let's keep this subscriber open, cause I'll keep using this email because again, um, we should be able to, um, Receive the same results over and over again.
Again, that's important thing with that setting with the sequence inside a convert kit. It's like if I happen to do the assessment again and get the sun showers, uh, you know, answer or result, I should get that email again. So we should test all of that. So on the happiness quiz, let's do this. So I'm going to start simple.
And just make sure we get the expected results. So I'm going to select the, um, most negative for all the questions. And then I'll input my name and email and click send me my results. So, because we have this here for testing, we can confirm that that at least worked properly. Um, we can also. Click to make sure that our linked to Instagram works.
So that's cool. Uh, people can check that out while they're waiting for their results. Again, this would be removed, uh, if you follow my, uh, way of doing things of only showing results in the email, because we really want people to go check their email. But back in our convert kit, this is the email I used.
So it should update this person. So when I click refresh, there's a few things we should see. First of all, on the sequence, we should see that I'm being sent the doom and gloom sequence. And we should also see my happiness quiz of negative eight, because those are the answers I selected should show up here.
So I will have to refresh. And if we see that everything worked properly, I guess, so fingers crossed. Okay, so passed the first test. Um, the, uh, negative eight worked, uh, let's check the sequences and look at that, right. They're doom and gloom. So, um, and my email just came through, so let's just look at this and it should be doom and gloom.
Awesome. And it even shows our score down at the bottom, just as a. For, uh, testing, uh, reasons. So that is great. That one worked let's just maybe do perhaps another, um, run through just to double check and maybe we will. Let's select all neutral options. Again, I'm just testing to make sure we're getting like known quantities, but you don't have to be as diligent and you can select whatever you want and it will still all work properly.
Um, okay. So we'll send my results. So this time we got the neutral, uh, result. So again, if I come back here, This should be updated to a zero because that's the neutral quiz score that I just completed. And then the sequence are, you'll see, another sequence that I should be added to, which is neutral. So let's see if that happens.
We did. So we got zero and we're now in the nurture, nurture, neutral nurture sequence as well. And if you're ever wanting to go look and see what people have completed, um, or received as far as happiness quiz results, um, all of them, you could look in the sequences and they would all show up here, um, because the happiness score will only show the latest version.
Of the results that they have, but the sequences will remain on their account. Um, regardless of how many they get. So awesome. We just really completed this journey with interact and creating a quiz. Um, we built it all out inside of interact and now, um, Well, you know, we connected our convert kit. We use that cool automation feature to just auto import, those settings and sequences for you as a easier place to start.
And for our final test, again, we got that neutral email. So everything is working perfectly, uh, how exciting we now have a functioning quiz using interact and sending meaningful results, emails. Uh, well, you know, we did it great work.
