  • Okay, this is right where I left you when we created our interact account. The other tabs that I have open is, um, my convert kit account, as well as the, um, Google doc that is sort of our happiness quiz example, master document. Um, That is a, this document's obviously, uh, linked in the, uh, resources section down below, uh, on the learning portal.
  • And just so you know, there's a type form version for the quiz flow as well as a, as a interact version, just because they do structurally look a little bit different. So. Um, yeah, I think it makes sense to, for B, uh, to, for sure have the doc open, cause we'll just be copying and pasting. So back to our interact account, obviously log in if you happen to have logged out.
  • And what we're going to do is we're going to click start from scratch if that's where you are.
  • and the w the quiz type that we're going to use is scored. Cause that's what works best for this. Um, so we're click scored
  • and we have loaded in, um, I'm not gonna watch the videos or anything. So, uh, to start with, I think we'll just keep it simple and we'll start off here by calling this happiness quiz. And then we're gonna edit the, uh, cover photo. You can upload your own if you wanted to. But one thing that's great is it's connected directly to Unsplash.
  • If you're unfamiliar with Unsplash, it's a great website that shows are shows you, that gives you access to just. Mountains and mountains of stock photos that are royalty free and license free. So you can use them for whatever you want. Uh, a hugely amazing resource and it's connected right inside of interact, uh, just as it is with type form.
  • So really great features from both with this. So we will search let's search happy, maybe.
  • Okay.
  • Maybe this one looks nice.
  • Obviously it doesn't matter fully. Um, but another thing we're gonna do is on the cover. We have this little snippets, so I'm just copying. And pasting, and maybe it will change the call to action. Something a little bit more fun.
  • Let's get started. Okay. So we're not getting into all of the, uh, capabilities for as far as styling, but if you wanted to, uh, you can, uh, dive in and change all these aspects. Okay.
  • It's totally worth the time, but obviously, um, we're here to just get the fundamentals understood and start creating quizzes and then the customization of the look and come later. Okay. So from there, uh, that's pretty much the starter, uh, cover.
  • So the next thing we're going to do is we're going to click questions over here on the left. And, uh, start creating questions. So, um, I am always a copy paste her if possible. So I'm using my document and
  • just copying each of our answers. So this is a little bit, um, mundane. But got to do what we gotta do.
  • Okay. So we have our five answers. I'm going to create each question and then I'll come back and we'll set the score. Um, one thing I do, like you can, uh, animate the checkbox. So I like to just check that box. It just makes it look a little nicer. Um, and then we're going to add another question. Question number two,
  • all about relationships and something to note. Um, one thing that's cool with all of these quiz builders type form or interact, as you can, uh, use images as, uh, image answers. So it, rather than words, you could use images. Um, so that can be kind of cool. Um, it doesn't really fit our happiness quiz, obviously.
  • Um, but it's a cool feature that can be quite engaging. So that's our second question. Add the third, all about money
  • or five answers.
  • all right now we're on to our fourth and final, multiple choice question.
  • I'm getting really good at copy pasting. I imagine you are too. I hope you are. Where you're becoming a very good typist.
  • All right. So that's our question. All of our questions. Now I'm going to actually just go back to our first one and we're going to set, um, the answer scores. Um, so you just click this button and this little pop-out will happen. And if you look on our document, I do have all of these listed. They're the same for each again.
  • It's like a Likert scale. So from negative two, negative one zero one two. So that's for all the questions. So we just do this. And then we click save and then we do this for each of our questions
  • and our last one.
  • Okay. So that takes care of all of our questions. And the next thing we're going to move on to is the opt-in form. So on interact, it is called, um, or actually, no, let's start with the results actually. And as I've said before, there's a, I don't, I do not like to show the results, the score itself. Um, so one thing you can do is you can click the, um, uh, settings cog over on this left side here.
  • Oh, no, sorry. This button down here. And right here, you just like, do not display the score. And then that just goes away. And basically what I, um, what I did with this is just to keep it simple for testing. I just added the, uh, specific outcomes that we have for our quiz. And I'm, I'm not hiding the image just because again, um, it's not something we really have to worry about.
  • Um, necessarily, but we are going to add a total of five results. Um, so I'm just going to hide the images for each probably would be nice if you did that on the final version, but not something we're going to do here. Okay.
  • So I'm just. Typing in all of the
  • possible outcome, um, for each thing, and then we'll adjust the score, but this makes it easier to test to make sure we get the results that we expect to get. Okay. So now that that is done, um, we want to match up these scores over here. Uh, with the scores identified here with these scales. So negative eight to negative five, I think that's done.
  • Yep. Negative eight to negative five, negative four to negative one, negative four negative one. Now neutral is just zero. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to select that a result. I'm going to click their results settings, and I'm just going to change their range up here. Um, two, zero to zero we'll click save.
  • And then the next one is one to four. So again, we edit this, we changed this to four. We click save and then the last one is five to eight. Okay. So we also do have on the document. So on the document page here, we do have the success. A page that you can copy and paste. Um, and they are all going to be identical.
  • So I'm just going to copy paste this through all of it.
  • Okay. And then, then that last thing you can do, uh, just if you want to is a little call to action on each one. These, because what we are doing is we're not, we don't show the quiz results. So just to be clear, you could show the results here if you wanted to. But I don't like to do that for a few reasons.
  • Um, I liked for people to receive the results via email, because I want to train people to go, uh, expect emails from us to go find our emails in their inbox, make sure it's not in spam, all that stuff. And then what that allows you to do in general is they open up your email and that really starts building up your sender reputation a lot, because it's telling, you know, email providers like Gmail and Yahoo and whatever email they're using that.
  • Okay, this person that's sending this email, people are opening them. So that's huge for your sender reputation. But one thing we can do while people are kind of waiting for their results e-mail to come is we could send them somewhere, something like Instagram. So I just thought that was a nice idea. Not something you have to do.
  • Um, I wouldn't do anything like too heavy, like go read my latest blog or anything like that. I would keep it pretty simple. Um, just for the reason that, um, you don't want them to get distracted, but we can also set this URL by, I just have Kathleen's Instagram. So we'll just save that and we're repeating, rinsing and repeating.
  • Okay. So that is all of our, our questions and our subsequent results pages. You can see how easy interact makes it. It really shines because all they do is quizzes. And, um, it shows with really how simple it is. Um, again, Typeform really shines because it can do so many other things, but when it comes to quizzes, Interact.
  • It's, it's what it does. So, uh, pretty cool, uh, platform. So the next thing that we're going to do is we're going to, uh, click on the lead generation. This is how we tie, um, basically interact our quiz and we tie it to our convert kit account. Now it is something you have to enable. So, um, this, it does require at the very least the light plan.
  • Um, and you know, this is where I would suggest you start, if you are going to do this, it is required to pay just as it was with type form. So they're kind of in the same boat with that. Although type form is $35 rather than 29. So we are going to have to start trial
  • and I obviously have to cover the screen. Sorry.
  • And I'm just starting a 14 day trial. So, uh, there'll be 14 days before I actually have to pay and my upgrade is complete, so that's easy. And so now that I've clicked the lead generation, I obviously updated, upgraded the account to allow this a few options have now been enabled. So. Select the contact fields.
  • Uh, I'm asking for first name and email. That's what I like. Um, we're not going to allow people to skipped or opt out of our form and we are going to, uh, display a link to our privacy policy. Uh, this is outside the scope of, you know, quiz launching lab and, um, Less launching lab, but in general, having a privacy statement for your website is a good idea.
  • Okay. Okay. So, um, the next thing we're going to do is just customize the final contact form. This is the last thing people get, um,
  • uh, before they complete their assessment. So. We're just going to keep it pretty simple and we'll leave that to that. And then we just have a little sublime,
  • so you could change this if you wanted to. Um, maybe for us, because we're not showing them, we'll maybe change it to send my results. That might be a little bit. More clear based on how we're doing things. So we're going to click save and continue. So now what it's, uh, uh, getting us to do is to integrate with our email marketing program.
  • And, uh, if you're following along with the list launching lab, um, we obviously are all about convert kit, but you can see there are other options that might, uh, that you might be using. So you can just do that. Um, and if you don't have it, you can always use Zapier to pretty much connect any application together ever.
  • So that's cool, but that's, um, another video, if you are interested, I actually do use type, uh, Zapier with the tight form. If you want to check that out, uh, I don't go in depth or anything like that, but you can see what it does, but we don't need Zapier for this. We're just going to click convert kit. And we're going to have to go to our account to find these two things that it's looking for.
  • So I have my account open. Uh, I'm logged in obviously, and I'm going to go up here to the top. Right. And API key is, uh, you just want to make sure you're on the account info. So, uh, the API key is one thing. So I'm copying that and I'm piecing it there. And the other is the API secret. So you do have to click to show it and then I'm copying that and pasting it and then we'll click connect.
  • Okay. So now that we've connected our interact, um, And our convert kit together. The next thing that we need to do is we actually need to jump into our convert kit account and, uh, set up a few things in order to make all of this stuff, sync and work together properly. And that is something we will get into in the next video.
